Joining dotTrackIt is easy
Signing up is a quick and easy process, within minutes your activation email will be sent enabling you to fully join the dotTrackIt community.
You don't need to create your own tracks, but once you have joined you can search out the shared tracks that other users have marked as publically searchable.
We are currently offering two levels of membership: Basic which provides free access to a limited number of tracks and/or points; Premium which for a small fee, will provide additional services and greater storage allowance; and Premium Plus which will enable organised live racing events
Initially only the basic service will be offered and the first tranche of members will receive an automatic upgrade to the next level of membership.

Basic Membership
The simplest form of dotTrackIt membership comes at the basic level which is aimed at personal users and enthusiasts. Basic membership allows full access to all the main track management, import and sharing functions within the system but applies a simple fair usage cap on the amount of data you are able to store within the system. This enables us to share the database storage across a larger number of users allowing more people to begin storing and sharing their tracks.
Although your storage ability is limited, there are comprehensive features to allow you to export your tracks or simplify the tracks to significantly reduce the number of points within a track.
When you log in you will be informed about your storage utilisation. We will not prevent you going over the limit temporarily, however we do reserve the right to archive track data from members whom disregard the fair usage model.
Premium Membership

Premium Membership
Premium membership is aimed at clubs organisations and individuals who want more storage for their tracks and are interested in creating small scale competitive events.
Virtual racing allows a nominated track to be used as the course. Using this course other members can follow it and submit their track into the race. The system processes the track data and adds the processed track into the race. After your track has been added you can replay the race with other competitors to see how your performance compares.

Platinum Membership
Platinum membership is aimed at larger race organisers or the organisers of race event series who require automatated tracking and publication of race information. The system is allows a number of real time tracking technologies to be be used and their results consolidated into a single track.
The data for each race entrant is analysed against the route to determine, race leader, distance to finish and current positions.
For long running events there is a Stealth Mode which prevents other teams from seeing key tactical decisions and stops the updates appearing on the public sites
The system is able to mintegrate weather data and overlay this data on the maps. The weather data is automatically obtained and can be configured to follow a fleet of boats around the world.
The result data can be queried by remote systems in order to utilise the same data in other applications.
